PAWLEY’S ISLAND,SC – Minami Levonowich, a senior at Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy (Hank Haney IJGA), won the Golfweek Junior Series at Willbrook Plantation this past weekend. A native of Hilton Head Island, SC, Levonowich fired rounds of 75 and 74 to finish with a total score of 149 (5 over par). She outlasted Trisha Witherby by one stroke, who shot rounds of 75 and 75 to finish with a total of 150 (6 over par).
In the Boy’s Division, Hank Haney IJGA had three students place in the top 10. Matt Adams, a senior at Hank Haney IJGA and native of Walnut Creek, CA, finished in second place with rounds of 72 and 75 (total of 147, 3 over par). With his second place finish, Adams received invitations to play in national Golfweek tournaments to be held in Florida and Arizona later this year.
Matt Cocco, a post-graduate student at Hank Haney IJGA, fired rounds of 78 and 70 to finish one stroke behind Adams at 4 over par (total of 148). Dak Spivey, also a senior at Hank Haney IJGA, finished in 8th place with rounds of 80 and 74 (total of 154, 10 over par).
