KIAWAH ISLAND, SC - Home to five
championship golf courses, Kiawah Island Golf Resort was the site of this
week’s International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) event. Located outside of Charleston, South Carolina,
Kiawah Island Golf Resort consistently rates as the number one golf resort
destination in the U.S. The tournament was a three day, 54-hole event. Turtle
Point, host of the first and second round, is ranked as a top 50 public courses
in the U.S., while the famed Ocean Course, along with its numerous awards, has
been host to many professional golf events, most notably the 1991 Ryder Cup, 2007
Senior PGA Championship, and the future 2012 PGA Championship. The weather for the 54-hole event stayed true
to form for this time of year, with cold ocean winds laying claim to many a
junior golfer’s game.
