Several International Junior Golf Academy students traveled upstate to compete in the HJGT Myrtle Beach Junior Open over the weekend. Betty Horaney of Longview, Texas, earned third place in the Girls Division of the two-day, 36-hole event. Horaney was most successful on the par-5 17th hole, which she birdied in both rounds!
Arjun Puri of New Delhi, India, fired a 1-under 71 in the second round of the Myrtle Beach Junior Open to finish with a 1-over 145 tournament total. He tied for fifth in the Boys 15-18 Division. Puri birdied the par-4 15th hole in both rounds and carded back-to-back birdies on the par-4 11th and 12th holes in round two!
Competing in her first tournament as an Armstrong University Pirate, Nikita Arjun finished fourth in the Lander Bearcat Invitational. She followed her 2-under 70 first round score with an even-par 72 in round two to lead her team with a 2-under 142 tournament total!
