College golf season is in full swing, and IJGA alumni have been performing well all across the country.
2013 graduate, Matt Rushton, a sophomore for University of Notre Dame, finished in 14th place at the Windon Memorial Classic after scores of 72-67-73. He was the top performer for his team and also qualified as the No. 1 player for the squad.
Nikita Arjun, a freshman at Spartanburg Methodist College finished in second place at the Converse College Fall Invitational with a tournament total of 156. This is the second top-three finish for Arjun who is playing in only her second event as a collegiate athlete.
Another IJGA alumna, Regina Plasencia, who is a junior at the University of Arkansas, led her team to victory at the Powerade Cougar Classic. The event featured many of the top programs across the country. Plasencia shot rounds of 69-70-69 to finish in fifth place. 11 current IJGA students traveled to this tournament outside of Charleston, S.C., to watch several IJGA alumni and also learn about college golf.
Class of 2014 graduate, Bria’ Sanders collected another third-place finish for Savannah College of Art & Design – Atlanta at the 14th Annual WIU Invitational. She recorded rounds of 76-77.
