Prior to the start of the 2014-2015 school year, the IJGA introduced the addition of Golf BioDynamics (GBD) to the academy’s golf program. GBD is a group of experts in the realm of 3D technology, golf swing mechanics and the link between the technical and the physical.
As co-CEO/Founder of GBD, Dr. Robert Neal also joins the IJGA, bringing with him storied experience and expertise regarding biodynamics. With a PhD in Biomechanics, Dr. Neal founded GBD in 1999 in effort to provide services that combine a scientific approach with the practical skills necessary to bring forth technical change.
Already a well-versed contributor to the industry of golf, Dr. Neal spoke yesterday, September 9, 2014, at the Srixon PGA Coaching Summit in Royal Pines (Australia). The Summit invites domestic and international sporting authorities, including Dr. Neal, to offer insight to PGA Professionals regarding everything from golf-specific training and education to best coaching practices. Dr. Neal joined the likes of PGA and other industry professionals to take the podium to discuss efficient body movement and how physical limitations can prevent swing success.
The IJGA welcomes Dr. Neal and the GBD team and is proud to work alongside GBD as they provide our students with analysis and technology that is unmatched by any other junior golf academy.
