New to the IJGA Summer Experience in 2014 is our Photo of the Week contest. We encourage full-time IJGA students and summer campers to tag their photos taken during training, tournament play and free time with #IJGASummer to enter their posts in the weekly album. Photos from each week that are posted on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are compiled into one album and featured on the IJGA Facebook page every Friday. On the following Thursday, the photo with the most points based on likes, comments, and shares wins Photo of the Week honors.
The inaugural contest features photos taken during Week 2 of the 2014 IJGA Summer Experience from check-in day on Sunday, June 8, until check-out day on Saturday, June 14. This week we hosted 110 students from across the world, including 48 students from The First Tee chapters nationwide.
The Photo of the Week for June 8-14, 2014, features full-time IJGA student, Jasmine Chee of Hong Kong, China, while she is on the driving range during weekly practice.
Posted by @IJGA_StudentLife on Instagram, this photo of Chee received likes and comments from across the globe. She received 13 likes, two comments and one share to earn her 20 points and Photo of the Week winner.
Posted by full time IJGA student, Sera Tadokoro of Japan, on Instagram, her photo posted on the IJGA Facebook page received 15 likes to earn 15 points and runner-up honors.
Photo of the Week is determined by a point system that is as follows: one point for each like, two points for each comment, and three points for every share. Visit the IJGA Facebook page every week to make your vote for your favorite photo!
