Q&A WITH DE BONO
How did you become interested in golf?
My dad started playing, then my brother, so I decided to start playing too.
Favorite golf memory?
I would have to say, when I first shot 68, in the Italian National Champions U18 event.
Who would you say has had the biggest impact on your golf game?
I think myself to be honest because it is my game but my coaches give great advice and always motivate me to improve.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love playing soccer with my friends, listening to music, watching movies and of course, eating.
Personality-wise, how do you think your friends would describe you?
As a friend, I’m always there for them.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
“Don’t worry about your swing. Practice and go play golf.”
What motivates you?
Achieving my goals motivates me the most.
What’s the craziest thing that’s happened to you on the course?
I once lost a ball – in the middle of the fairway.
What aspect of your game have you seen the most improvement in this year?
Probably my long game because it’s become more consistent.
Favorite course you’ve played on and why?
Harbor Town, definitely. It’s my favorite because it’s really difficult course but it’s also really fun and you need to give 100% the whole time.
