Tennoshin Ogawa has his father to thank for sparking his interest in golf. When Ogawa was just eight years old, his father told him to try the sport; he said yes and the rest is history. Last weekend he competed in the Sea Pines Junior Heritage and was the only player to card a hole-in-one, which he accomplished on the par-3 16th hole at Heron Point. When I was playing in the U.S. Junior Amateur qualifier and made the putt from 15 feet and made the cut.

Don’t give up ever.

Making my parents proud.
What’s the craziest thing that has ever happened to you on the course?
The guy who was playing with me during a tournament got angry and threw my club at me.
What aspect of your game have you seen the most improvement in this year?
My mental game.

Harbour Town Golf Links because it’s narrower than other courses.
What are your goals for your future after IJGA?
To win four Majors!
