Accomplishments of the Week – Sept. 30, 2015

Each week we like to celebrate International Junior Golf Academy students and alumni who may not have won a championship, but who did something exciting or impressive, in our Accomplishments of the Week.

Jason Hijazi opened the HJGT Myrtle Beach Junior Open with an eagle on the par-5 first hole in round one of the two-day, 36-hole event.

Santiago Diaz shaved eight strokes off his first round score in the Myrtle Beach Junior Open to card a 1-over 73 in round two. He birdied the par-5 17th hole in both rounds.

IJGA alum Regina Plasencia (Arkansas) fired a 3-under 69 in the final round of the Annika Intercollegiate yesterday after carding even-par 72s in the first two rounds. Her 3-under 213 tournament total landed her in a tie for 13th and the Razorbacks finished third in the prestigious tournament.
