BGGA’s Hiroshi Tai Notches First AJGA Victory

Congratulations to BGGA Class of 2020 Hiroshi Tai (Singapore) on his AJGA win at the ACDS Junior Championship at San Jose Country Club in San Jose, California (7-under-par 203).

Hiroshi dropped a solid 66 with four birdies and two eagles. His eagle on the 3rdwas a hole in one from 174 yards.

“I had no idea walking up it went in. I was really excited because I knew it gave me an advantage heading into Wednesday. I knew I did better than everyone on that one hole and that gave me confidence,” said Hiroshi.  “It feels awesome because I’ve worked so hard to win an AJGA event. I’ve been playing AJGA for a while and it’s a great feeling for me.”

Hiroshi is 85 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. He has had six top-ten finished in AJGA events since 2016, finishing 3rd at Sea Pines Junior Heritage in 2018, 4thin the 2017 Junior Orange Bowl International Championship and 6that the 2017 Jones Cup Invitational. He also has a win on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. He recently had a good showing at the AJGA Polo Golf Junior Classic finishing T13 with scores of 73-70-74-30 (+6).
