IJGA and IJGA Bishops Gate Alumni and Students Shine in Mexican Amateur

International Junior Golf Academy (IJGA) and Bishops Gate Golf Academy (IJGA Bishops Gate) alumni and students finished well on the leaderboard at the 92st Mexican International Amateur Championship, held June 6-9, 2019, in Mexico City, Mexico. The 72-hole stroke play championship draws an international field from North, South and Central America.

Winner RJ Manke fired an 11-under 277 to win the tournament by nine shots. IJGA alumni Aaron Terrazas played an outstanding tournament, finishing 2-under for second place. IJGA Bishops Gate alumni Julian Perico was close behind T5.

Four IJGA and IJGA Bishops Gate students place in the top 20.

T16- Luis Garza (IJGA Bishops Gate alumni now at University of Arkansas) – 77-73-72-74=296

34th– Eloy Vigil (IJGA Bishops Gate alumni who returned to Mexico for senior year) – 76-72-74- 78=300

36th Jose Cristobal Islas (IJGA Bishops Gate La Loma player) 76-73-75-77=301

40th Andres Quintanilla (IJGA Bishops Gate La Loma player) 72-76-76-78=302

45th Alejandro Santibañez (IJGA Bishops Gate La Loma alumni now at St Mary’s) 74-78-75-76=303
